Do what you always did and get what you always got.
Here’s a moment of brutal reality for you….if you aren’t willing to invest in your health then you need to start accepting your current reality. Change has a cost and without change there is no transformation. When you look at your monthly food budget, eating healthy isn’t cheap…and I’m not talking about on the TSFL program, I mean in general, just to meet the government guidelines. A study in the journal of Health Affairs showed that people who spent about $7/day on groceries, were far from meeting nutritional guidelines. The group who actually met nutritional guidelines and consistently ate healthy spent twice that amount. They also discovered that for every 1% increase in calories from added sugar, food costs fell about 7 cents; for saturated fat, they dropped even more, about 28 cents for every 1% increase in daily calories.
Now, step back from zeroing in on your grocery budget and start factoring all the other expenses that are directly related to your current reality. Even though your grocery budget might be cheaper, is your overall spending less? How much are you spending on medications, doctors visits, joint medications, eating out, high calorie coffee drinks….the list goes on. No matter what program
you choose, you’re going to see an increase in your grocery budget, but it’s an investment that should result in less spending in other areas of your life pays and an exponentially better quality of
If you’re satisfied and happy with where you are and how you feel, that’s fantastic…..but if you aren’t, then it’s time to let go of the excuses, adjust your priorities and step up to the plate.

I am by no means a chef or a magical food creater, but I do a spend a lot of time collecting recipes for my clients and enjoy sharing them here. If I know the original source, I will always post it at the bottom of the recipe. On occasion I will will have a genius thought and blog those if I think they may touch someone's life and help them move to a more positive, healthy space. Enjoy!
